Dr. Oliver Reisner Delivered the Lecture for the Project ''Nationalistic Narratives and Memory Making Process in Former Communist Bloc Countries''

On December 22, 2017 an educational-research project “Nationalistic Narratives and Memory Making Process in Former Communist Bloc Countries“ was continued. Dr. Oliver Reisner, the professor the Ilya State University delivered the lecture on “Stalin – Cult – Georgia - Museum”. Dr. Reisner talked about the formation of the Stalin cult in soviet and post-soviet Georgia, causes and peculiarities of this process, how the Stalin became the myth for the Georgian society and how the political elites manipulated with the issue.

Simulation Game and Workshop series

The CIVIC-Institute for international education currently conducts a simulation game and workshop series in Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia. The project was organized together with the German Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (ifa) and funded by the Germany Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On December 14, the Executive Director American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia Mr. George Welton visited IBSU and delivered the public lecture "Employment Opportunities and challenges for new graduates in Georgia"

Computer Science Education Week

 On December 4-10, 2017 Faculty of Computer technologies and Engineering of International Black Sea University participated in an annual, global project - Computer Science Education Week- organized by non-profit organization Code.org. What the faculty held was called Computer Science and Engineering Week. In scope of International Black Sea University the audience of the event was 8,9,10 and 11 graders.
