International Black Sea University’s Journalism Bachelor's Program was re-accredited for 7 years

On June 29, 2019, the International Black Sea University’s Journalism Bachelor's Program was re-accredited for 7 years. According to the experts' conclusion, the program fully satisfies all five requirements of the educational standard. The best practices of the educational program are also mentioned in of the document. The Journalism program is oriented towards preparing practicing journalists.

''Modern Trends in Education in Georgia''

On January 29 a presentation of “Modern Trends in Education in Georgia” – a book based on INTERC 2018 – International Young Scholars’ Conference held at IBSU – was held. Prof., Dr. Natela Doghonadze, the editor of the book, discussed the advantages for young scholars dealing with research and its publication. The authors – MA and PhD students from Education programs presented their papers. 

IBSU hosted the representatives of the Embassy of Sweden in Georgia

With the cooperation of IBSU's department of School of Languages  and the Embassy of Sweden in Georgian, Swedish Language Course has successfully started at our university. 
In this regard, on November 26, IBSU hosted the representatives of the Embassy of Sweden in Georgia, Communications and Cultural Affairs Officer, Executive Assistant to the Ambassador, Tamar Datuashvili, Professor from the Malmo University, Teresa Tomasevic and  the Embassy Intern, Gustaf Lofgren. 
In the scope of the meeting the two parties discussed the future perspectives of the cooperation. 
 

11th Annual Conference in American Studies

CDA, Elizabeth Rood: I’m very pleased to participate in International Black Sea University’s eleventh American Studies Conference.  The International Black Sea University is a long-standing, good partner of the American Embassy. And the university and this conference, in particular, helps promote understanding of the United States in Georgia and helps build the bond between our two countries.

We understand that the problems that arose during the International Black Sea University’s authorization process have now been resolved. So we hope that the final decision will be in International Black Sea University’s favor and students will be able to enroll in the January session.

 

Meeting with the Migration Center

On November 1, International Relations Office of the International Black Sea University hosted the representatives from the Migration Center: Project Coordinator,Ms. Natela Mzhavanadze and Assistant to the Project Coordinator,Ms. Tinatin Nadiradze.

The IBSU actively cooperates with the Migration Center, which is confirmed by the participation of IBSU foreign students in the project "StepTogether". The project aimed to integrate the citizens of foreign country with the aim of establishing and enhancing the integration into civil involvement.
