Admission and Tuition

Admission Requirements:

Students from Georgia 

Georgian students willing to enroll to International Black Sea University are obliged to take Georgian National Exams. Those who will receive the passing grades set by the ministry of education will be able to study at IBSU.

Tuition Fee

Tuition fee for the students who will be enrolled in 2010-2011 academic years will amount to $ 4200 in equivalent to GEL for the faculties of Business Management and Social Sciences,  Humanities, Computer Technology and Engineering, as for the faculty of Education students should pay $ 2500 in equivalent to GEL that includes 30 ECTS credits in each semester, i.e. 240 credits in 4 years. In case student is not be able to graduate in 4 years, for the 5th academic year she/he must pay the tuition fee according to credits in the equivalent to 2014-1015 academic years’ currency in GEL. 

If students are not able to pass the exam, they have to retake failed course following academic year. The fee of 1 credit is $70, equivalent to GEL.



International Black Sea University Offers Discount Opportunities for the Prospective Students:

1. If prospective students will be in the first 100 places throughout Georgia in Unified National Exams, they will study free of charge at International Black Sea University, i.e. they will not pay any additional money but grant.
2. If prospective students choose IBSU as their first choice during the Unified National Exams and are admitted to International Black Sea University, they will have an opportunity to get 10-20% discount from the tuition fee (according to faculties; see the table1 bellow). 
3. If students bring TOEFL iBT score reports while enrolling at IBSU, and if the score is at least 61, they will have an opportunity to get a 10% discount from the tuition fee for the four academic years. (See the table1 bellow).
4. If prospective students meet both requirements of 2nd and 3rd points mentioned above, they will have an opportunity to get 20-30% discount from the tuition fee. (See the table1 bellow). 
5. Students can pay Yearly Tuition Fee in 10 installments.
6. Prospective students have a great opportunity to take a one-year English language course free of charge. From the sophomore year they can take a free three-year Turkish or Georgian language course.

NOTE: Prospective IBSU students can bring required TOEFL iBT score report during any academic year. The discount (10%) will apply automatically from the following academic year. For example, if a student submits a TOEFL score before September 2011, he/she can study with discount the rest three years.

Language of Instruction

Language of Instruction at International Black Sea University is an ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

IBSU also gives opportunities to study other Foreign Languages:

• In FRESHMAN year, every student has to take Georgian Language course during 2 semesters, 3 hours in a week
• There is an exception concerning MA and Ph. D. studies of Finance and Banking; it is taught in Georgian Language.
